Bradley Triffitt was at the Tempo FM studio in Wetherby Saturday morning to promote the club and explain about his recent Jubilee award nomination. Bradley was kindly allowed air time on the Jon Bee morning slot with Jon battling illness to once again produce a fantastic show. Bradley discussed the awards explaining he was one of seven nominees for contributions by the youth of Wetherby to the local community. Further details in the link below.
He went on to discuss his tennis achievements at Wetherby and how the club are always keen to recruit new members both in the adult and junior section. Highlighting the great facilities and five floodlit courts in a lovely setting he explained the benefits and the many teams the club now enter in competition across Leeds, Harrogate and York along with the many coaching opportunities that Angela Crossley and her team manage.
Jon was keen to hear of Bradleys other sporting accolades and seemed impressed that the youngster had represented his county at chess and is the current U14 champion for North and West Yorkshire along with helping the Yorkshire U18 team lift the Four Counties event held in Leicester last season. Along with playing football for Tockwith U14 in the Harrogate league, where they currently occupy second position, it’s a very busy sporting diary he retains!.
Bradley hopes to become a PE teacher on leaving school and is currently discussing his options ahead of finishing Year Nine after Christmas.
Thanks to Jon and the Tempo FM team who do a great job promoting sport across our region. We look forward to going back on air during the season to update listeners on the clubs progress both on and off the court.
